Validation Panel

What is the Validation Panel?

The validation panel is comprised of key stakeholders in early childhood education. The panel plays an important role in the development of the intervention.
Panel Members:

  • Provide input and feedback about modules, workshops, and coaching components of the PD intervention
  • Work with the validation panel chair (Dr. Mark Wolery) and project personnel to provide input and feedback throughout project
  • Participate in face-to-face meeting(s)
  • Participate in web-based feedback opportunities
  • Provide ongoing formal and informal feedback of project materials, website, or data or when requested by the panel chair or project personnel during all three phases of the project

 

Validation Panel Activities to Date:

1. Validation Panel Meeting: Tampa FL April 24-25, 2008
10 participating panel members attended the Florida meeting. Panel members:

  • identified and rated key competencies for embedded instruction
  • reviewed and provided feedback on professional development components
  • reviewed and provided feedback on training module content and materials

 

2. Validation Panel Meeting: Gainesville FL April 9-10, 2009
10 participating panel members attended the Florida meeting. Panel members:

  • participated in an online review of project materials prior to the face-to-face meeting
  • reviewed data from the year 2 feasibility study
  • provided feedback and suggested revisions on professional development components
  • provided feedback and suggested revisions on training module content and materials
