This project is an Institute of Education Sciences (IES) Goal 2 grant to develop and validate a professional development intervention focused on embedded instruction for early childhood education. Research Project

The Impact of Professional Development on Preschool Teachers' Use of Embedded Instruction Practices project will help inform the field about which professional development(PD) approaches appear to be most promising for bridging the gap between research and practice.

Research Phases

The project occurs in 3 phases between 2007-2010.
Phase 1: Development
Phase 2: Feasibility Studies
Phase 3: Experimental Trials

Research Partners

This Project is a collaboration between University of Florida, Vanderbilt University, University of Washington, and University of Wisconsin Milwaukee; with support from key stakeholders in early childhood education.
